MY THOUGHTS ABOUT USING FAKE MAKE UP

I get a lot of notifications in Facebook about online stores selling make up as I am browsing each page,I realized that all of these sellers have one thing in common: fake cosmetics. The sadder part is that a lot of people specially ladies, are patronizing these! Come on guys, buying or using fake make up is one of the worst thing that you will regret later on.

These are some examples of the products I saw on Facebook and everything is almost below 100 pesos. Now obviously, you know these are fake specially if you know that brands like Mac, Nyx, Etude House, Naked or Benefit don't cost 100 pesos! Even if the products are on mega sale, I don't believe that it will cost less than 100 pesos. But for people that doesn't know this, they are actually the target of these type of sellers.

So why do people buy fake products? I asked some people and most of them answered that they want to try the famous brand but they can't afford it so they settle with the fake one. Now this is a big problem ladies. Fake products are not produced in the same way with the original. They have different formulation, fragrance, packaging and most importantly the ingredients. Some may think that buying fake make up give them a great deal since it is on bargain but honestly, they are snagging infections and allergic reactions.

There are also some who don't have any idea that what they have bought are fake products. There are some make up that you can't tell the difference between the original and fake ones. They almost have the same packaging, smell, color, the texture and even the price! This is a tricky situation because there are actually some sellers that sell their products almost the same price with the original one so it won't sound suspicious. Imagine, you thought you have save a little money but in reality, you have spend a lot for a fake one! But this is another issue so let's go back to the topic.

"They can imitate but it will never be the same." This is the truth ladies, Class A, Singapore made, inspired by, clone or whatsoever are still not original and yes, it means these are fake. I, myself have never been interested in buying fake make up products for a few reasons.

First of all, I can't go to the store to complain if ever I get allergies. I can't blame anyone but myself. Fake products are not safe to use. I don't even know what ingredients it contains or how it was made,

People think it is cheap. Yeah right, it is because it is not high-quality. It is not safe.Think about this, a 100 pesos fake "MAC" foundation can cause me a breakout or give me allergies and the cost of medicine plus the consultation for the dermatologists is not cheap. Will you really take the risk to use it just to say you are using a MAC foundation?

What will I get from these anyway? I mean I am not getting the exact texture, color pay off and benefits of the original one. I won't feel confident wearing this. Infact, it will just make me look like a desperate, social climber and a fool. Specially to those who are expert in identifying real and fake ones. The essence of wearing make up is to show confidence to yourself and I can't be confident knowing that what I am putting to myself are fake. We have a saying that "You ar what you eat." I believe it is also the same with "You are what you wear." I am not and will never be a fake person. 'Nuff said.

Beauty brands are spending millions for product development, testing, innovation and promoting it so that they can get a reputation. That is why big brands are not cheap because you are not just buying a makeup, you are buying the assurance of high quality make up. Think of it as an investment to your face. Buying fake one although may not cause allergy to you still won't last unlike the original one.

The "Wala namang masamang nangyayari sa akin e" excuse still is not valid. Does it mean you will wait until something bad happens to your face? I'd rather live without using high-end brands than using a counterfeit of it. It is much better to use dupe for that product instead of using a fake one.

What is your thought about it? Is it worth to use fake?
