The only way we can know if something will work for us is to try it out. Taking risks is one of the crucial decision you will make but is it worth it? I guess if the reason is, then whatever that is waiting for you in the end will make everything worth it.

Anyhoo, today I will give my final thoughts about Maxipeel Fresh and Natural Skin Purifier which I have gave my first impression here. 

I'm using this for more than two weeks but only at night. Although it is said in the instructions to use it twice a day, morning and night. I didn't do that as I see this as a strong toner. I am still not convinced that this is not a toner or an astringent as the ingredients are quite the same to regular toners and clarifying lotion that I am using. 

After a week of doing a patch test, I finally have the courage to apply it on my whole face. It has a slight stinging sensation but it fades quickly. For those who have a sensitive skin, I suggest to do a patch test first before finally slapping this on your entire face. For weeks of trying it out, my skin has changed. It is smoother, less oily and I don't know how but my face actually have a healthy glow after using this for almost half a month. There is no redness, flaking, and dry skin which I thought might happen to me when I use this but thank goodness, nothing bad happened to my face.

The result is actually visible right after the first test and it improves more and more, day after day of continuous use. Aside from being a good exfoliator, it also serves a good product to dry pimples fast. It works for me just last week when a pimple says "hi" to me just above my chin. I dab a tiny amount of this and voila! After three days, pimple is gone. 

I heard some complaints about this. After my experience, I could say that it is not the product that makes our skin red or "sunog" but we should actually understand clearly how to use it properly. Here are my guidelines when using this:

• Do a patch test first before applying it on your whole face.

• Don't forget to apply moisturizer right after using this! Or you may end up with dry and flaky skin. It exfoliates your skin, so a good moisturizer is necessary. It depends to you if you want a light or heavier kind of moisturizer.

• Never ever skip the sunblock. Oh please! If I have to repeat this again and again until your ears or eyes hurt, I will. It is for your own good too anyway. Apply sunblock before going out or use an umbrella. The bottom line is protect your face from the sun.
• If it is too strong for you, try using it alternately with your current toner.
• Don't use this with other strong skincare products that you have specially those that are not natural or organic. Try using a milder cleanser or limit using a scrub while using this. Exfoliating too much is not good too. 

I entitled this as a challenge because it will be my first time to use something from the brand. For the first time, I will be testing out something from Maxipeel- a brand that I have been making a "distance" for years. It is not that I don't think that it is good but the brand was known for their products which are formulated not for teenagers, in short these are not mild. End of story. As you know, one of my concerns when it comes to skincare is that it should be mild. That is my number one rule.

It was July when Sample Room released samples of Maxipeel Fresh and Natural Skin Purifier. I never bother to look or to try it that time. Then I saw it again at Watsons with a promo of Buy 1 Take 1. Being a sale addict, I was like: "Look, it is on sale!" and grabbed two bottles. The next thing I know it is on my shopping bag just like that.

Fresh and Natural, two words that caught my attention. I am thinking if it really is natural to think that it was from Maxipeel. I don't know, there are a lot of questions in my mind at that time. Could it be? Could this be the reason for me to be attach to this brand? Let's find out.
