FIRST IMPRESSION: MAYBELLINE LASTING DRAMA GEL LINER

I am not a fan of eyeliners for two reasons: I don't have skills and I always end up with a panda eyes. It is one of my nightmare actually, to have panda looking eyes because of ruined eyeliner or mascara thus, I don't try to love eyeliners until last week when I got invited to do a "project" and it requires eye make up specially the cat's eyes. I guess it is time for me to face my fear about eyeliners.

I still have a week to prepare and practice before the day comes so I rushed to the mall to get something that will be great for starters like me. I swatched a lot of eyeliners on my arm from pencil to liquid and gel eyeliners and decided to get this because it is very black with just one swipe and its cheap. I can't fight with that, I need something that is good and affordable too!

I don't know how to apply eyeliner beautifully but I know what I like about one. I want something that is super black, matte or glossy, smudge-proof and will last for hours. Did Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner have all these? Yes! :)

It is a creamy gel eye liner which is easier to use than liquid eyeliners. I like how black it is with just one swipe. It is also available in brown with gold shimmers but I prefer the black one. It can last up to 36 hours and is smudge proof and water proof. Hah! Goodbye panda eyes.

It also comes with a brush that is so soft at the ends yet firm at the base and it also has a cap. I love that I can use the brush that is included to the product most of the time, I will throw the free sponges, brushes or any applicator that comes with the products since they are not that useful but this brush is perfect to use with the gel eyeliner. I find it easier to use this as it is just the right size for my eyes.

Since I am still practicing to draw lines on my eyes, I still don't have any guts to give you a picture of this yet, maybe next week? :)
Anyway, The creaminess of this gel eye liner is a dream! I worked with liquid eyeliners before and my problem is that I find it controlling me more than me controlling it. But with this, I can easily draw straight lines on my eyes without too much errors. It glides smoothly and  I have at least a minute before it completely dries so I still have time to correct imperfections. It dries into a matte black, no shimmer and is not glossy.  I prefer matte than glossy ones as it gives bold, dramatic look to my eyes.

I am happy that I got this Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner. It is easy to use for a beginner like me and it gives me enough control to do what I want. Although it is smudge proof and water proof ( which I will test and will give you an update about it) it can be remove easily with a make up remover. I am using Bifesta Cleansing Lotion! I can't wait to show you what are the results after my practice with this. For now, I am enjoying myself learning the tricks about how to draw from simple to cat's eye and even dramatic ones!

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner is available at all Maybelline stores and drugstores nationwide for 399 pesos only.
