Remember those times when you try to sneak at your mom's make up kit and saw those tubes of lipstick, blush on and eye shadow and the girly girl inside you want to put all of it on your face leaving a disaster that your mom needs to clean? Yup, that is the good old days.
I also remember that I would tell my mom how dry my lips are and make it as an excuse to let me wear her tinted lip balms. I just love how yummy the scents are plus giving me a sheer tint.
One of the lip balms I have tried are Nivea fruity shine- the strawberry one. So I don't hesitate to purchase it again during the Nivea Sale (which is still happening now 'til May 9) along with two flavors to try. I've got the strawberry, watermelon and peach. The strawberry and cherry are mostly what we can see at local stores, drugstores or supermarkets so if you want to try the other flavors try to go at Landmark or Robinsons. I got my watermelon flavor at Robinsons supermarket and the peach one at Landmark.
The packaging have changed a little but still remains simple. The color on the cap represents the color of the lip balm itself. I was pretty excited about the smell of these two!

The color on the cap really represents the color of the lip balms. The strawberry one have silver shimmer on it a little bit bigger than the two but it is not that visible when applied on lips.

I have read some reviews about these lip balms and some complain about the color it gives. I don't expect dramatic color or the same color of the lip balms on my lips since their main purpose is to hydrate our lips and give shine not color so don't expect girls that it will give you a lipstick like color :)

Nivea Fruity Shine in Strawberry |
Among the three, the strawberry is the only one that has SPF 10. It looks pretty red and has silver flecks on the tube but it doesn't show on your lips. It has a sweet strawberry scent that lasts for about 3-5 minutes upon application. It makes my lips smooth and the color lasts for 2-3 hours without eating or drinking.

I've tried to take a picture of it with my phone and camera but it doesn't capture the exact color. On person, my lips have a sheer red-orange tint and a lot of gloss.

Nivea Fruity Shine Watermelon |
Next stop, the watermelon. The color is very pretty a hot pink and the smell, oh boy! It smells so good I want to eat it. It almost smell like the real watermelon so juicy and sweet. My friend asked me if I ate watermelon when I have this on. She was pretty amazed that it smells really good.

On lips, it looks exactly like this. A pretty subtle pink with gloss. It doesn't look exactly what is on the tube but for a lip balm, hey it is pretty pigmented. I love the color and smell of this I guess it is my new favorite lip balm as of now.

Nivea Fruity Shine in Peach |
Sorry for the color again. I tried to adjust the brightness and all but I can't capture the exact color again. It should look less orange-y. (think of the peach color) It should look like that. Anyway, I love the smell of this one too! It smells strong but in a good way like you are on a peach garden.

This one doesn't moisturize my lips the same as the two lip balms as seen on the photo my chapped lip is visible however, it is not a big issue because of the scent it give. It has a nice peachy pink color on my lips and just like the two lip balms, it last for 2-3 hours.
To give you more idea on how the color looks I apply it on my arm with flash and with no flash. As you can see, the watermelon on my lips and arm looks the same unlike with the strawberry and peach. The peach looks almost like what is on my arm, told you it is less orange-y :P

All in all, I love Nivea Fruity Shine lip balms. I really didn't expect any color on my lips but was surprised that it gives a hint of color. It may not be very pigmented but for less than 100 pesos (regular price) it is quite a steal! I love how it leaves my lips very soft, supple and it relieves my chapped lips for a while. The smell is the star of this product. It is not waxy and is comfortable on lips. I just wished that all the variants have SPF.
