HOLIKA HOLIKA SMOOTH EGG SOAP IN RED CLAY

Hi everyone! Today I'm gonna show you a cute product from Holika Holika, it is their Red Clay Egg Soap. Don't you just love how Koreans do their packaging? So kawaii!

The packaging looks like an actual egg tray. Upon opening, I can already smell the soaps. The scent is powerful and pretty overwhelming in a nice way. It smells awesome that I get addicted to it.

This is how it looks like. Don't they look like real eggs? I am happy that these soaps were handmade.

Red Clay Egg contains egg white and rich lather foam. It gives smooth and tightened skin. It also contains large amount of oxygen which is good for skin cleansing, absorbs oil from the skin and supply minerals to dry, acne-prone and oily skin.

How I wish all Korean brands provide an English translation about their product so we can understand what the product is all about. Unfortunately, it looks like this and I don't even understand anything so I have to rely to their website.

This egg soap is not just cute, it has a lot of functions such as:

  1. Pore tightening effect. It contains egg white which provides pore tightening effect.
  2. Pore Cleansing effect. Completely removes blackheads from the pores, giving an excellent cleansing effect.
  3. Rich Foam. Easy to form rich creamy lather foam.
  4. Pleasant Aroma. Gives comfortable relaxing  to the skin.
  5. Dual Function. Daily cleansing and bubble mask pack.
  6. Moist Feeling. Without irritation and stretch effect, it gives moist and refresh skin.

I am happy to tell you that it serves all its functions! It doesn't foam very much as you can see in the picture just enough to form a rich lather. I use this every morning and my skin feel clean afterwards though it feels like a washed plate.

As much as I love to used this because of how great it is (and cute), sadly, my skin react badly from this. I have used this for two weeks straight, every morning. During my first three days of using, I have seen immediate results like the tightening effect and deeply cleansing my pores however, after a week, I spot some red bumps on my forehead and on my eye area. Disappointed on what happened, I limit my use to every other day then I get a large pimple down my chin so I stopped using this.

I don't know what gone wrong as it works good on me on a few days. I still want to use it in the future and see if it will work good on me without having any breakouts. For now, I should stop reaching for this and refuse its cuteness. I gave it to my sister yesterday and I am hoping it will work on her.
