MAYBELLINE WEEK: COLORSHOW NAIL LACQUER IN KEEP UP THE FLAME
Hello! I hope you are having good day :) I can't believe its August now! I still have a hang over last month, it was a pretty busy month for me. I danced, cheered for our class, do some workshops, have dinner with my friends, go shopping, went to an adventure then go shopping again. Wew! I have mentioned that I have attended a workshop, that is the Maybelline Dream Academy Workshop.
The ladies spent an entire hour talking about the "no make-up" make up look and their new products called Dream Satin Skin foundation. After the workshop, I bought few pieces at Maybelline store, some are new to try and some are things that I have love before. Instead of a haul, I decided to feature the products for the whole week! I hope you all stay with me and get ready for a Maybelline Madness!
For our first product this week, I have my nails done yesterday and I used Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer in Keep up the flame. I am not a fan of red when it comes to my hands. My mom never allow me to use this color unless it is summer time so I only choose pink, nude, white and other pastel colors. So what made me go to red? It's not that I am rebelling or what, I just thought why not go for it for a change?
Keep Up The Flame is the color that I got on the small bag from Maybelline. My first impression is wow! It really shouts red. It looks very pretty on the bottle and even more on my nails. I am very excited to try this one out but I should ask for my mother's permission first. :)
She agreed I can have it as long as I keep my nails short. After she said yes, I went to a nail salon near us. I can't wait to see my nails all red.
Although I am not the one who applied it on my nails, I checked this before I go to the salon. The consistency of this nail polish is great; not too thick so it is easy to be applied on nails even for beginners. Keep Up The Flame is a vibrant red. It looks very pretty and it make hands look whiter. Have you experience wearing a nail color that make your hands look old or dark? I am happy that this doesn't look like that to me. I find this color appropriate for my age, not too dark so it looks wearable while still giving me a vavavoom kind of red. This nail polish is very opaque, the one who did my nails applied 1-2 coats only plus it has a high shine finish. It looks very glossy in person.
I keep my nails short so it will have a balance look with the bright hue of my nails. I am glad I take a risk to wear something I am not used to. It looks very pretty on my nails and I am planning to wear other shades of red this month.
